A SOUND WALK, TOGETHER

A group Sound Walk in Exeter, part of a series of five for Cygnet Theatre’s Dream Festival.

Join musician Emma Welton listening to the city, noticing human and more-than-human sounds, discovering hidden sounds, allowing sounds to find us, making our own.

For people open to a different kind of walk, and those curious about experiencing a familiar place in a new way.

We’ll walk slowly, following our ears, with minimal conversation. We’ll explore likely and unlikely places and share what we hear. We’ll notice different trees, birds, people, transport, and how seasons, weather, landscapes and built structures change what we hear.

We’ll dream together the sounds of Exeter’s past and future.

Up to 2 km, including return to start.
