Camera Obscura and Magic Lanterns @ Positive Light Projects
George Baron and Brendan Barry will be transforming a space within Positive Light Projects into a camera obscura open to the public.
Also on display will be a selection of magic lantern slides and projectors and a range of large and small scale experimental images made of these slides by exposing light directly onto photosensitive paper in another camera obscura constructed elsewhere in the building.
The work on show will be wheelchair accessible and open to all.
The work is part of a research and development grant from Arts & Culture University of Exeter exploring early projection techniques, experimental analogue photographic processes, creative public engagement through process-led practice, and historic imagery of Exeter.
Wednesday 8 June, 10am – 5pm
Drop in, no need to book
